The Inventor, Madam LianXiang Wang
Madam LianXiang Wang is the inventor of the Alphagel battery. This technology was developed more than a decade ago, for which Madam Wang was awarded the coveted Gold Medal of Research at the Paris International Fair of Invention in 1993. Madam LianXiang Wang has also won many other awards, including the Gold Medal Award at the Second International Patents Conference, China.

Alpha Gel
Alpha Gel Electrolyte, a high-tech, green-energy substance, is a milky white gel that can replace the sulfuric acid electrolyte which has been used for the past 140 years in battery industry.
This gel can be used to fill various types of lead-acid storage batteries. This gel has the following superior characteristics which make it so special: no leaking, no hydrolyzing, no dry cracking, no layer forming, high permissibility, low corrosiveness, no harsh smell, and yet still possess stable and high electronic performance. Wang gel storage batteries, which are filled with such gel electrolytes not only have met all the requirement of common lead-acid storage batteries, but also cause very little environmental problem (lead discharge and sulfuric acid mist). Small Alpha Gel Battery Started Minivan
The battery tested was in Exide 16-B, with a date code N3216Y and weighting 12.5 pounds (5.7 kb, the middle one in the picture).
The battery was manufactured in the USA and purchased locally.
To this battery the colloidal electrolyte was added in place of the normal electrolyte (Sp. Grav. 1.256).
This could easily be done because the battery is shipped to the consumer in the dry state.
The battery is rated at 16Ah and is primarily used for garden tractor, motorcycle, ATV, personal watercraft,
and snowmobile applications.
This combination was used to start a 1995 Honda Odyssey minivan with approximately 54,900 miles on it. The minivan contained
a 2.2 liter 8.8:1 compression engine. The original battery in the minivan was a Panasonic 80D26L-MF rated at 550
cold cranking amps (CCA) with a load test rated at 270 amps (the left one in the picture).
This battery weighted 39 pounds (17.7 kg).
Utilizing this undersized battery containing the colloidal electrolyte the minivan could be easily started. The engine was turned off, before
the battery had time to recharge off the alternator and the test was repeated. The battery again started the
minivan for a second time. The ambient temperature at the time the test was performed was 20°C (68°F).
This was accomplished usinga colloidal electrolyte battery 1/3 the size of the original equipment.
*Additionally, the Alpha gel battery (the right one in the picture) also started the car easily.
This is a 12V 15Ah motorcycle gel battery.
Alpha gel batteries are the most powerful gel batteries in the world!
Shorted Small Battery Started A Minivan
The battery tested were an Exide 16-B with a date code N3216Y and weighting ~12.5 pounds (5.7 kg) each.
The batteries were manufactured in the USA and purchased locally. The colloidal electrolyte was added in place of the normal
electrolyte (Sp. Grav. 1.256) this could easily be done because the batteries are shipped to the consumer in a dry state.
The batteries are rated at 16Ah and are primarily used for garden tractor, motorcycle, ATV, personal watercraft, and snowmobile applications. There was evidence that they had experienced significant shorting since one termination each had melted.
The melting point of lead is 327.5 °C (621.5 °F). There were also signs of arcing on the attachment bolts indicating high current and very high temperatures.
Both of these were placed in parallel and were used to start a 1995 Honda Odyssey minivan. The minivan contained a 2.2 liter 8.8:1 compression engine.
The original Panasonic 80D26L-MF rated at 550 cold cranking amps (CCA) with a load test rated at 270 amps. The amp-hour rating is not known but is estimated to be in the range of ~55-60Ah. This battery weighted 39 pounds (17.7 kg).
Utilizing the two modified batteries in parallel (32 Ah total) containing the colloidal electrolyte the minivan could be easily started. The engine was turned off before the battery had time to recharge off the alternator, and the test was repeated seven times. The battery restarted the minivan on all occasions. The ambient temperature at the time the test was performed was about ~29.5°C (~85°F).
This was accomplished using a colloidal electrolyte battery slightly greater than ?the size of the original equipment.
Additionally, the van was started with two different Exide YB16CL-B batteries into which the gel electrolyte had been added. These batteries had not previously shorted and were in good condition. In this test, each individual battery started the minivan, with no difficulty.
*Additionally, we can see that Alpha Gel battery do not explode when experiencing high current shortage. It very safe. Especially the shortage does not affect the battery performance.
